Our History
1994
JS Parker Case Management Services was established in 1994 when Jackie Parker, a social worker in the head injury social work team based in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital Sheffield, took on her first case management client. Working from home, our business developed quickly and Jackie began working full time as a case manager in 1996.1998
JS Parker & Associates was formed in 1998 when Jackies partner Ivan Neary, also a qualified social worker, joined the organisation having left the post of personnel officer in Sheffield social services.1999
We moved into nearby offices thus initiating a period of rapid growth. By the end of 1999 we had established, through Verna Morris, an occupational therapist, a home-based rehabilitation service.2000
Rita Greaves, an experienced paediatric occupational therapist joined the organisation in April to develop paediatric case management services.2001
This year saw continued growth in the organisation; by the end of the year we had seven case managers working out of the Sheffield office. The support worker training course became the first brain injury informed support worker course to be recognised by the Open College Network and the first students gained accreditation.2002
We opened our first satellite office in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, employing another three case managers.2003
Our services continue to expand with new paediatric and adult case managers, in both Newcastle and Sheffield, and an expanded home based rehabilitation team in Sheffield, under the leadership of Jayne Brake.2004
During Spring of 2004 we acquired our training suite at Westbrook Court in Sheffield to facilitate growth of in-house and external training. In August we opened JSP Manchester Ltd. During this year JS Parker & Associates registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI).2007
Our services expand into Scotland, with the employment of two case managers based in Edinburgh. Our Children and Young People's Team move to their own office space in Sheffield and our Newcastle office relocates to Bearl Farm in Stocksfield.2008
JS Parker & Associates is awarded 3 Star Excellent Service recognition in North East and Sheffield offices by CSCI. JSP Manchester registered with CSCI and awarded 2 star good service recognition.
