Statement of Purpose
The purpose of JSP (Sheffield, Manchester, Scotland & North East) and JSP Training is the provision of specialist brain injury case management and rehabilitation services to individuals with brain injuries across the Midlands, the North of England and Scotland; and training services for individuals supporting clients with brain injuries in the community.
The aim of the rehabilitation service is to enhance and support
case management provision, by working with those individuals who are already in the community and who would benefit from specialist occupational therapy intervention to reduce their need for care, maximise their functional abilities and enhance their quality of life.
Our services are delivered via:
- costed case management & occupational therapy reports for adults and children for medico-legal purposes
- ongoing case management and rehabilitation for adults and children pre and post settlement, and through NHS funding
- resource finding
- recruitment and in-house training of personal carers, rehabilitation assistants and support workers;
- advocacy
- counselling
- the design, monitoring and reviewing of care packages
- family support; accompanying clients to medico-legal and other appointments and careful matching of individual client needs to case managers and occupational therapists experience and expertise
All professional staff join the company with relevant professional qualifications and are members of the appropriate professional body.
JSP also operates within the guidelines set out by the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM). It is a requirement of JSP that all professional staff become members of this organisation on joining the company and that each professional works towards advanced membership status.
