Brief description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to support a young woman with a brain injury in the Bearsden area of Glasgow. You will accompany her on social, educational and recreational activities and promote engagement and independence in all aspects of her life.

You will support her with her continuing rehabilitation programme, working with the family and a team of professionals. Travel may be required from time to time providing overnight support for holidays and trips away from the family home. Training and supervision will be given.

This post may include evening and weekend shifts and occasional sleep in duties. *Due to the nature of this role, we believe that under the Genuine Occupational Qualifications requirement under the Equality Act 2010, applications are welcomed from female candidates only.

About us:

JS Parker Ltd (JSP) provides an essential service to both adults and children who have suffered brain and spinal injury. Qualified staff assess clients’ needs and offer individually designed case management and rehabilitation programmes. The company was established in 1994 and is now a successful rehabilitation and case management consultancy, working in close co-operation with the legal profession. We now have five offices employing around 80 staff. We manage over 400 support workers and provide services to just under 400 clients nationally.

JSP is not an agency. Recruitment of staff for small, personalised care teams is part of our case management service and is undertaken on behalf of individuals using this service.


About you:


  • you are reliable, flexible and professional - you value honesty and discretion
  • you are friendly and approachable
  • you have experience supporting someone in the community


  • you have experience of supporting someone with a brain injury
  • you have a full, clean UK driving licence and access to a car for work
  • you like music, dogs, being active and creative
